EVENT INFO & schedule
volunteers
This event will take place at Recreation Point Campground, which lays near the south entrance to Yosemite National Park, just 3h30m away from San Francisco.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO) / Oakland International Airport (OAK) and San Jose International Airport (SJC) - 3.5 hrs away
All three of these major airports are a little over 3 hours away from Bass Lake. Most major airlines use them which means there are plenty of flight options and flights may be cheaper. Whichever you us make your way east across central valley and get on Hwy 41 towards Bass Lake.
Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) - 1 hr away
This is a closer but much smaller airport. Flights might be more expensive but you will be closer to Bass Lake and Yosemite.
Whether your initial mode of transportation to the event is flying or driving, you will eventually need a rental car as there are no shuttles that bring you directly to the race. When you are ready to travel by car, enter the following address into your GPS for accurate directions: Recreation Point Campground.
The Yosemite Trail Race courses will take you through the Sierra National Forest outside Yosemite National Park. You will run on a mix of forest service roads, rocky single track, and giant slabs of granite. Depending on the distance you choose you'll run past giant sequoias, summit granite plutons, take in expansive valley views, cross rivers, and finish at Beautiful Bass Lake. A lot of climbing followed by a lot of fast downhill mixed with incredible support along the way equals a trail adventure you don't want to miss out on.
*This course is being finalized with the Forest Service. We will post the final course maps and elevation gain for each distance once they are confirmed.
There will be well stocked aid stations on all three courses. More details on location and access coming soon.
Gnarly Nutrition is the Official Hydration Sponsor for the Yosemite Trail Race and we will have plenty of Gnarly Hydrate available on and off the course to aid in your electrolyte replacement.
